WASHINGTON/GENEVA — The United States and Iran have agreed to a landmark memorandum of understanding aimed at ending months of direct conflict, with an official signing ceremony scheduled for Friday, June 19, 2026, in Switzerland.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, whose government played a key mediating role, announced that both sides had finalized the text of the agreement. President Donald Trump quickly confirmed the breakthrough, stating on Truth Social that “the Deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete.”
