Dallas, Texas — On Thursday, May 7, 2026, thousands gathered across the Dallas Metroplex and the nation for the 75th annual National Day of Prayer, lifting hearts under the theme “Glorify God Among the Nations, Seeking Him in All Generations” (1 Chronicles 16:24). Several Malayalee churches in Dallas area also organized corporate or community based street side prayer spots, where believers from different nationalities and ethnic groups participated in a powerful time of prayer where they declared they are all one in Christ.
In a world hungry for hope, local churches, ministries, and leaders came together in powerful unity. From sunrise prayer calls to midday gatherings at Prayer Mountain — Dallas’s scenic hilltop prayer site — believers sought God’s presence for families, cities, and the nation.
The iconic Thanks-Giving Square hosted its longstanding interfaith luncheon at the Meyerson Symphony Center, drawing faith leaders and community members in a moving celebration of prayer’s enduring role in American life. Other vibrant gatherings filled Watermark Community Church, Midlothian’s Heritage Park, Prosper Town Hall, and multiple North Texas locations with worship, scripture, and heartfelt intercession.
Pastors, families, and everyday believers stood shoulder to shoulder, praying across generational and denominational lines. In a touching display of unity, grandmothers prayed beside teenagers, and longtime Dallas pastors joined hands with new ministry leaders — all declaring God’s glory to the nations while passing faith to the next generation. As one local leader shared, “In the midst of challenges, we remember that prayer is not the last resort — it is our greatest strength.” The day served as a beautiful reminder that even in uncertain times, the faith community in Dallas stands strong, anchored in hope and united in prayer
